Chatsworth in the Spring

In our house a Bank Holiday means only one thing - a trip into the Peak District.

The location in question this time was Chatsworth House. A beautiful, ornate mansion set in acres and acres of woods and rolling hills. Over its years it has been host to royalty, Dukes, Duchesses and Hollwyood Stars alike.

Me and my mum took a walk down the river and then back up through the park. The weather was top notch for this time of year.

We managed to get quite close to both of the herd of deer which roam the park, which was cool, but I still had to zoom in on my camera so the photo quality is still pretty naff.

How cute were these lambs! Oh Spring, you do spoil us.

I'm lucky in that both my uni and my hometown are are about a 10 minute drive from the peaks, and recently I've really been getting into exploring new places there. I'm not 83. Promise...

The yearly Chatsworh Horse Trials are coming up next week, so I'll keep you updated with that :) (Update: Read about it here)
